How do you perform nested IF functions using the formula wizard? Is it always done via memorable means?

Hi Khalid,

"Nested IFs" is used when you need to catergorise a list of data. Let's say there are 4 categories then you will need 3 if statements.

1) Use the Formula Wizard to set up the 1st IF
2) Type in the test & true values, click on the FALSE box, then click on the "IF" button on formula bar (where name box usually sits)
3) It opens another IF dialogue box for your 2nd IF statement, repeat step 2 at the FALSE box.
4) Type in the 3rd set of test & true statements
5) At the final FALSE statement, type in the 4th category.
6) Press OK

See if this helps

Regards,

Katie Woo
