Dear Piera

Thank you for attending the Office Application Course.

If you want all your new e-mails to use the same stationary (the appearance with some specific colours and pictures) then please carry out the following steps

NB: Please ensure that you DO NOT click on the new e-mail button.

Step 1. In your normal outlook window click on Tools > Options…
Step 2. Click on Mail Format Tab
Step 3. Click on the Stationary Picker in the Stationary and fonts section so that you can preview how each stationary appears.
Step 4. Select the one of your choice and then Press OK to confirm
Step 5. Press OK to exit Options Window.

NB: This will ensure that the chosen stationary will be applied to every e-mail you create.

But sometimes you might be sending an e-mail to a colleague or your friend on a personal level and may not want the formal stationary to be applied.

Please note that sometimes Microsoft Word is chosen as your e-mail editor and therefore when you create a new e-mail and try to use some of the menu commands you cannot get the features specific to Outlook e.g. Signatures, Stationery etc..

To deactivate the above mentioned feature so that Outlook emails DO NOT use Word as E-mail Editor please follow these steps:

Step 1. Choose Tools > Options…
Step 2. Click one the Mail Format tab
Step 3. In the Message Format section untick both use MS Office Word to edit e-mail messages and use MS Office Word to read Rich text e-mail messages
Step 4. Press OK

Once you have done that you can create your new blank e-mail.

To have a different Stationary for this specific e-mail please follow these steps:

Step 1. Place your cursor on the Message body (this is the area where you start writing your detailed e-mails
Step 2. Choose Format > Background > Picture…
Step 3. All the stationeries are listed there. Choose the stationary of your choice from the dropdown list and press OK

I hope this helps!!

If this posting has helped in answering your query then I would request you to mark the posting as Resolved.
