If you include animation on the slide master, can this be overidden by adding in animation on a specific slide?

RE: Animation on Slide Master

Hello Mark,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft PowerPoint course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding Animations on Slide Master

If a slide master contains an animation, it will be automatically be transferred to the slides that are in the presentation.

You can set additional animations on the individual slides themselves, however, it depends on the settings that you apply to the animation as to what the result will be.

So as an example, I set an entrance animation on the title for the master slide, and then added a separate animation to the slide itself. Initially, this created two animations, one after the other.

To overcome this, I set the property of the second animation to occur at the same time as the master animation, and found that it onlky showed the animation that was on the slide itself, and not the master slide animation.

To do this, I simply right clicked on the animation entry on the right task pane, and chose "with previous effect".

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Richard
