Key staff representatives producing issue reports in Excel required consolidation of basic skills in Excel while management and analytical members required Advanced training and a discussion of the potential applications of Excel. Staff representatives had little or no experience of Excel and required a basic introduction, in some cases to IT skills in general.
Solution
Delivery of Introduction and Advanced day long courses to the relevant groups. Introductory groups experienced a general introduction to Excel and computer literacy, pitched as beneficial outside of work, while advanced groups were walked through that syllabus and then approached one-to-one to discuss possible applications.
