Change of language

Hello!
Could someone tell me how do I change the language in which excel was installed? I got my laptop from my brother so it's in french, but I feel much more confident having Excel in English. I've tried Standard>personnalize your copy of Microsoft office>linguistic parameters and I left only english in "main language of edition' but it's still in french. What can I do?

RE: Change of language

Hi Doris

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

To change the language of Office 2007 to English you will need to change the language of the underlying operating system (ie Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7) that you are using with office.

Click on the article below from Microsoft for instructions on how to do this.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/access-help/change-the-default-language-for-office-programs-HA010251787.aspx

I hope that helps any problems please do not hesitate to repost

Many Thanks

Newson

Excel tip:

Do a fast scroll

In big Excel databases with many records, you can move down thousands of rows super-fast as follows: hold down Shift then click on the scrollbar somewhere below the scrollbar handle. This will move you way down the sheet without your having to use the scrollbar up/down arrows or drag on the scrollbar handle.
